National Geographic: Stress: Portrait of a killer

National Geographic: Stress: Portrait of a killer
I watched this on Netflix, but I found the clip I posted a minute ago to share with you. I highly recommend watching this documentary.
There is so much to learn...
This documentary is fascinating. I found it very interesting that when the baboons lived with a much lower hierarchy they had much lower stress, lower violence, and higher immune systems and seemed much more content.
It was also interesting the study on women with disabled children ageing physically almost 6 years for every year they were raising their children.
They showed too that the baboons that survived losing their dominate males became more peaceful, had a much more bonded social system and functioned more as whole.
Lowering stress and creating a more harmonious world really does have an impact.
Truly, watching the baboons and how they changed, to me looks like we have a lot to learn about creating world peace.
Lowering stress:
Lowers the storage of fat cells
Raises the immune system
Lowers chronic pain
Raises energy
Lowers blood sugar and blood pressure
The list goes on…
Ways to lower stress:
Meditation
Relaxation
Reiki
Massage
Chanting
Cuddling
Sex
Talking with supportive people with a great outlook on life and issues
Shifting your focus from complaints to gratitude
Surrounding yourself with positive affirmations
EFT and Quantum Tapping
